Mealey's Insurance - Judge: Insurer Failed To Comply With Policy's Appraisal Provision

LAS VEGAS - Dismissal of an insured's complaint against her automobile insurer for failure to pay on a total loss to her vehicle after an auto accident is proper because the insured failed to comply with the insurer's right to appraisal under the policy, a federal judge in Nevada ruled Aug. 18 (Orhan Redzepagic v. CSAAS General Insurance Co., et al., No. 14-0929, D. Nev.; 2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 114349).
