Mealey's Insurance - Homeowners Insurer Did Not Breach Contract, Act In Bad Faith, Judge Finds

HOUSTON - A Texas federal judge on Nov. 14 granted summary judgment in favor of a homeowners insurer on claims alleging breach of contract, bad faith and fraud after determining that the insurer met its burden of establishing that it did not breach the contract of insurance in its adjustment of the homeowners' claim for storm damages (Arcella Flores et al., v. Allstate Texas Lloyds, No. 18-769, S.D. Texas, 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 197798).
