Mealey's Insurance - Judge: Disputed Material Facts Exist As To Country Club's Hurricane Irma Damages

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A senior federal judge in Florida on Nov. 7 denied an insurer's motion for summary judgment on a country club insured's breach of contract claim in a Hurricane Irma coverage dispute, finding that the motion is premature because there are material facts in dispute as to the insured's damages (Grey Oaks Country Club, Inc. v. Zurich American Insurance Company, No. 18-639, M.D. Fla., 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 193718).
