Mealey's Insurance - Life Insurer Did Not Breach Contract Or Act In Bad Faith By Terminating Policy

SPOKANE, Wash. - A Washington federal judge on Nov. 12 granted a life insurer's motion for summary judgment after determining that the beneficiary failed to prove that the life insurer breached any provision of the insurance contract or acted in bad faith when it terminated the life insurance policy based on the insured's failure to pay the premium payment (Leslie Bargel v. Principal Life Insurance Co., No. 18-223, E.D. Wash., 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 196000).
