Mealey's Labor & Employment - 5th Circuit: Error During Bias, Harassment Trial Was Corrected By Court

NEW ORLEANS - An error during a jury trial of a women's quid pro quo sexual harassment and bias claims against her former employer was "quickly corrected" and did not "substantially" affect the trial's outcome, a Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel ruled Jan. 29, affirming the trial court's denial of the employer's motion for a new trial (Sara L. Roberts v. Brinkerhoff Inspection, Incorporated, No. 19-50337, 5th Cir., 2020 U.S. App. LEXIS 2940).
