Mealey's Labor & Employment - Plaintiffs File Appeal Notice After Reconsideration Denied In Cigna Conversion Suit

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Following a Connecticut federal judge's Jan. 10 denial of a motion for reconsideration by plaintiffs in a lawsuit regarding Cigna Corp.'s conversion from a traditional defined-benefit pension plan to a cash-balance plan, the plaintiffs on Jan. 15 filed a notice of appeal to the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, seeking review of four rulings entered in the suit (Janice C. Amara, et al. v. Cigna Corp., et al., No. 3:01-cv-2361, D. Conn.).
