Mealey's Toxic Tort/Environmental - Louisiana Supreme Court Won't Review Hearsay Evidence Admission Challenge

NEW ORLEANS - In a dissent from a Louisiana Supreme Court's Nov. 19 denial of a writ petition in an asbestos case in which a judge denied a motion for summary judgment opposed with hearsay testimony from two brothers regarding their father's alleged work at an oil company facility, a justice said he would grant the petition (Irma Hannegan v. PPG Industries Inc., et al., No. 2019-CC-01638, La. Sup., 2019 La. LEXIS 3013).
