Maria S. Domingo was born in the Philippines and raised in New Jersey.
She attended Rutgers College and Rutgers School of Business - New Brunswick at Rutgers
University (B.S., 1993) for her
undergraduate degree, Rutgers School of Law - Newark (J.D., 2004) for her graduate legal
degree, and New York University School of Law (LL.M., 2009) for her Master of
Laws in Taxation degree. She was
admitted to the New Jersey
bar in 2005.
Prior to joining Lexis, Ms. Domingo was a Tax Manager at a Big 4
accounting firm and an Associate at a New
Jersey law firm specializing in the areas of
corporate and international tax. As a Lexis Federal Tax Analyst, she currently edits
and updates the Lexis Tax Advisor-Federal
Code Reporter, Lexis Tax Advisor -Federal
Topical, and the Matthew Bender treatises Tax Planning for Corporations &
Shareholders and Tax Planning for the Alternative Minimum Tax. She is the author of the article
"Loss Corporations: Can Their Net Operating Losses Be Preserved for Use in the
Best of Times?" published in Bender's
Business Tax Articles.
