Valuation Handbook, a one-volume treatise, is intended for estate and tax lawyers faced with computing the value of a decedent's estate for federal estate tax purposes and for corporate and other commercial attorneys who handle the sale and purchase of assets lacking a clear market value. The book covers valuation rules for a host of assets, including real estate, stocks and bonds, intellectual property, artwork and businesses. The author is Professor Joni Larson of Thomas M. Cooley Law School, formerly of the Office of General Counsel at the IRS.
