Taxes Don't Matter Until, Well, They Matter

... One thing is true about New York - City and State. They'll tax anything - your car, your house, your clothes, your Big Gulp, your bullets (that is for the three people they let buy guns), people who live in New Jersey, and cigarettes, cigarettes, and more cigarettes...

New York politicians are mad about taxing... But that may be changing.

Lately, I've been seeing a TV commercial promoting the "New" New York... And the tag line is: "The New New York Works for Business." ...I laugh out loud every time I see this commercial... I mean who do these guys think they're kidding? The State that loves taxes now loves business? And I'm not the only skeptic.

On the other hand, maybe New York has figured it out...
