Joan Arnold Chairing, Speaking at Two Conferences December 10th and 11th

On December 10th, Pepper Hamilton Tax Practice partner Joan C. Arnold will speak at the Tax Executive Institute New York Chapter's Forty-Sixth Annual Tax Symposium. Ms. Arnold's morning session will address "Inbound/Outbound Transactional Issues." The Symposium will be held at the Sheraton New York Hotel.

Ms. Arnold will also chair an "Inbound Update" session at the George Washington University Law School 22nd Annual Institute on Current Issues in International Taxation at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C. The session will:

  • discuss up-to-the-minute U.S. tax changes affecting U.S. operationsof non-U.S. businesses;
  • address current U.S. tax issues faced by multinationals and others investing in the United States; and
  • focus on inversions, withholding tax issues arising in debt restructuring, new "engaged in trade or business" issues for funds and FBAR reporting by non-U.S. persons
