New Tax Principals at Urban-Brookings, U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Donald Marron will take over as director of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center beginning May 17.  Marron has served in several positions with the U.S. government, most recently as a member of President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers. Before that, he was deputy director of the Congressional Budget Office and served as its acting director in 2006. His government experience also includes stints as the chief economist at the Council of Economic Advisers and as the executive director and chief economist at the congresional Joint Economic Committee. Marron has a doctorate in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Caroline Harris has been promoted to chief tax counsel and executive director of tax policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Harris was previously the Chamber's senior tax counsel. She received her JD from George Washington University Law School and her LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
