WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Post-Gazette reports that Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship, who was questioned Thursday by Congressional members, repeatedly defended his company's safety record, this after an explosion at the Upper Big Branch killed 29 miners. The explosion was allegedly caused by a methane buildup and amplified by combustible coal dust.
