NY: Columnist Criticizes Senators' Decision to Retain Use of Stenographers at Workers' Comp Hearings

ALBANY, NY - A columnist at The New York Daily News has criticized the Senate Labor Committee for recently holding a seven-hour hearing to determine whether the New York State Workers' Compensation Board should use electronic recordings of hearings or continue to depend on human stenographers. The committee concluded that electronic recordings would not be able to pick up all the New York dialects.
