What will the new enhancements to the interface include?
These enhancements include an update to the overall look of the user interface making it easier to navigate, surfacing critical content with fewer clicks, and focusing on familiar and useful features. In addition, we’ve integrated our open-Web product, Lexis® Web, into, giving you the benefit of better free content as well as accurate LexisNexis® content from one research service. These enhancements are based on feedback we’ve received from you, our customers, to make our product more modern looking and easier to use—helping you get needed information with fewer clicks.

Why has LexisNexis made these enhancements?
All of these enhancements were developed from customer feedback that we received through customer panels, usability testing and many other forums. LexisNexis is committed to collaborating with customers to develop products that help them succeed.

What are the benefits customers can expect to see from these new enhancements?

We listened and we have responded. now offers all the features and preferences you’re used to, now with less clutter, fewer clicks to critical content and customized pages that have everything you need on one screen. You will see the maximum value from your online research investment.

When will the enhancements be available?
We will launch to all U.S. customers starting October 2010. The launch dates will vary by market segment and will be communicated to you soon. Watch for more details, including the exact timing for your firm or organization in the coming weeks.

Will I need to do anything to get these new enhancements?
No, you do not need to anything to experience the new enhancements. There is nothing to download and all preferences you currently have set up will carry over.

Will these enhancements take a long time for me to learn?
LexisNexis conducted usability studies on these enhancements and customers concluded that the changes have “high learnability,” meaning that users were able to quickly orient themselves to the new interface and experience immediate benefits.

What training is planned to help me prepare for this launch?
We’ll have many resources available for you to help prepare for the new enhancements that are coming. In addition to the information currently on our Information Center Web site, including a literature piece, screenshots and this Q&A, we’ll conduct Webinars closer to your launch date to walk through the changes that are coming. Please continue to check our Information Center as we’ll continue to add new resources for you, including video tutorials highlighting the enhancements.
