An insatiable curiosity and a dogged determination to solve problems has led me to my current destination leading our social media and community efforts within the research organization at LexisNexis.
Our social media strategy at LexisNexis focuses on using social media tools to build relationships with our customers in law firms, solo practice, federal government, corporate legal departments, state and local government, and law schools.
Unlike many that find themselves operating within the realm of social media, I did not make my way to social media from a marketing role and instead started my career as a legal writer and researcher within our editorial organization where I eventually came to lead a team of uniquely skilled attorneys that authored over 2M pieces of content. Managing a large content creation organization allowed me to develop skills that have suited me well as I transitioned to a role within our marketing organization at a time when traditional marketing tactics were being turned on their head.
My career success is largely attributable to the phenomenal teams that have surrounded me during my tenure. I truly believe that we are more successful in meeting our individual objectives if we are first successful as a team.
