This lesson focuses on those Billing Matters tasks that occur prior to the commencement of billing. It begins with an overview of some of the fundamental components of Billing Matters, including records and lists, Quick Tabs and Power Views. The process of making matters billable is described in detail, with emphasis on preparing Billing Preferences for the matter. It concludes with the data entry components of both time and expenses, including the different entry methods, modifying records, and changing billing rates.

This lesson opens up the billing process of Billing Matters. Billing Setup encompasses Program Level setup, billing codes, cycles, bill layouts and security. Then the different billing methods are demonstrated, including pre-billing, creating invoices, BillFlow Manager and posting and undoing bills. Specialized Billing includes the topics of Split Billing and Electronic Billing. The lesson concludes with a discussion of transactions, including payments, deposits, and managing funds in trust.
