Table of Contents and Preface
As a Shepard's print subscriber, you'll find a wealth of information about each citator in the initial pages of each volume. These informative pages include:
- Table of Contents: Cross-references page numbers and corresponding divisions for which citing references are reported in the citator. The title page for each division has a list of the specific publications in which citations for that division appear.
- Citing Sources: Lists all of the publications (sources of legal authority) from which the citing references in that particular citator have been obtained. Following each title is a range of volume and page numbers that indicate the scope of coverage of that source - i.e., the earliest through most recent volumes and pages included in that citator.
- Preface: Describes unique features of that particular citator, including explanations of Lexis numbers, Shepard's editorial analysis, and statute coverage.
- Tables of Abbreviations: Explains Shepard's condensed citation style and translates abbreviations of courts, publications, and editorial analysis letters.
