SEATTLE - Bracewell & Giuliani LLP has announced that Curt Roy Hineline, formerly co-chair of Dorsey & Whitney's securities litigation & enforcement practice and a member of its professional responsibility committee, has joined Bracewell's Seattle office as a partner. Hineline will head the Seattle litigation practice.
Hineline focuses on securities and complex commercial litigation, principally defending financial institutions, investment firms, broker/dealers, accounting firms, and individuals in securities fraud and professional malpractice actions in federal and state courts and in arbitration proceedings around the country. Hineline's practice also involves representing clients before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Inc. and state regulatory agencies.
An active trial attorney, Hineline has tried approximately 50 cases to verdict in federal and state courts, as well as before arbitration panels around the country.

He has represented issuers, officers and directors, underwriters and bond trustees. He has also represented corporate clients in internal investigations, as well as officers in derivative suits and shareholders in minority oppression suits.
Bracewell opened its Seattle office in July 2010 to better serve its long-standing and growing client base in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and Western Canada, particularly in the areas of energy, intellectual property, litigation, and tax. The office has now grown to 14 attorneys.
