DENVER - Ali Brodie has recently joined the Public Law & Policy practice at Colorado law firm Isaacson Rosenbaum P.C. as an associate attorney focusing on Immigration and Nationality law. Brodie's practice includes business and family immigration, citizenship and naturalization, as well as Form I-9 employer compliance and auditing services.
Before joining IR Law, Brodie worked for a Colorado-based boutique immigration firm. During law school, she gained additional experience from an internship with Rocky Mountain Survivors Center, where she worked with torture victims seeking asylum in the United States. She also served as a summer clerk in the U.S. Court of International Trade. Brodie is fluent in Spanish and has worked exclusively with U.S. immigration law since beginning her practice.
Brodie will be working closely with other members of the Public Law & Policy team, as well as with other expert attorneys representing different areas of the firm. Her colleagues include Mark G. Grueskin, chair of the Public Law & Policy practice and one of the region's most prominent election law attorneys; Karen Steinhauser, criminal defense and constitutional rights; and Neil B. Oberfeld, who specializes in real estate acquisition, development and finance.
In addition to her law firm responsibilities, Brodie is a member of the board of directors of the Anti-Defamation League Mountain States Region and a committee chair for the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Colorado Chapter. She is a member of the Colorado, Denver and New York bar associations and the New York County Lawyers' Association. She is also a member of the Colorado Restaurant Association and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver. Brodie earned her juris doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She received a dual bachelor's degree in international relations and Spanish literature at Boston University, where she graduated with honors.
