The Arizona House isn’t the only legislative body with its collective head up...in the clouds. As Cleveland.com reports, a pair of lawmakers in the Ohio House have introduced legislation to adopt an official Buckeye State cookie. The measure has drawn outrage on social media from folks who think lawmakers have more pressing issues to deal with. The bill’s authors, Reps. Brigid Kelly and Jessica Miranda, defend the measure, saying it was the brainchild of a third-grade class in Cincinnati and thus a great opportunity to teach kids about the legislative process. Because no other bill apparently would provide the same education.
