Knowledge & Research Consultant Research Tip: How to edit a broad search without running a new search
Is your search too broad? Would you like to edit out certain terms or reduce the proximity but don’t want to retype or do a new search?
If your search is too broad in a given Content Category because you have used connectors that are too broad (w/# or and) or have included too many alternates, use Search Within Results to edit the entire search without having to retype it.
First, block the text of the search

Drag and drop the blocked text or Copy + Paste the text into the Search Within Results box under Filters.

Edit the connector(s), delete terms or make other adjustments.

Click the magnifying glass in Search Within Results and you’re done.
Of course, you can easily delete the modified search-within and go back to your original results.
