Knowledge & Research Consultant Research Tip: How to limit expert testimony and reports to a specific expert

When researching in expert witness materials, you’ll find four main categories of information:

1. Expert Witness Testimony and Reports
2. Expert Witness Challenges
3. Expert Witness Resumes and Curricula Vitae
4. Expert Witness Summaries

After searching on an expert’s name in the Expert Witness Materials, use the Category filter to limit to Expert Witness Testimony and Reports.

Documents will surface that include both those reports and testimony OF the named expert, and those that reference the expert.

To limit to those reports OF the named expert, use the Search Within filter and search for:
Title(first-name /2 last-name)

You may simply use the last name for the Search Within, however in the event there are other experts with the same last name that happen to come up, including the first name will help filter results.
