Knowledge & Research Consultant Research Tip: Visualization Bar in Full Text Documents
While Search Term Maps are a wonderful tool to help you easily identify relevant documents when reviewing search results on Lexis+ and Lexis+ AI, the Visualization Bar in a full text document provides an additional level of dynamic functionality to identify key sections and large concentrations of search terms within your individual document, helping you pinpoint the most relevant sections.
The Visualization Bar appears on the left side of the page within a document you are viewing. When you click on a color, the preview paragraph automatically displays the section you selected from the visualization bar.
On top of the Visualization Bar, if you expand Search Terms, you will see the term count for each of the searched terms as well as your total number of search terms in the document. This also enables you to navigate from term to term by clicking on the up and down arrows:
You can also view instances of a specific term by selecting the term or terms in the drop-down list and using the navigation arrows to stop only on that term:
The Visualization Bar is a powerful feature that enables you to target in on the most relevant passages in within your documents and is available for all content areas except for Legal News and Practical Guidance.
