Librarian Relations Consultant Research Tip: Identify a notice of appeal in Shepard’s®
Shepard’s Citations Service provides federal appeals notifications for thousands of applicable cases. Spot this treatment for notice of “appeal filed” when viewing Shepard’s for federal cases. This treatment generates a yellow signal, cautioning users that the opinion has been appealed and provides additional insight when the appeal was terminated (e.g., appeal withdrawn). For example, see the notice of appeal treatment in the Simon v. Manhattan Mini Storage, LLC, 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 198813. You may also see notifications in the search history (“appeal filed”).
Notice of appeal filed also displays in Reason for Shepard’s Signal™ when viewing this case in full.
