Submit your work to the AALL/LexisNexis Call for Papers!

@RIPS Law Librarian Blog: The AALL/LexisNexis Call for Papers Committee promotes this scholarship for AALL members. Here are a few fast facts about the writing competition:

(1) Prize money is awarded
(2) Co-authorship is permitted
(3) Submissions may address any subject relevant to law librarianship
(4) Submissions must not have already been accepted for publication
(5) Multiple submissions are permitted, though only one prize can be won per author
(6) Submissions need not be an epic length
(7) Winners are invited to speak at AALL in the panel “The Librarian as Author”

Noted editors recently took time in a webinar to answer all manner of questions about the editorial process, scholarship in our profession, sources of inspiration and ways to find time to write. Give the webinar a listen and get inspired to complete an article (even a short one!) to submit.

Write about a project you completed in your library; co-author with someone from a different library type for a new perspective on a traditional topic; finally finish writing that biography of Ervin H. Pollack you began in library school!

Remember: you can address any subject relevant to law librarianship, and the committee looks forward to reading your submissions.

Please contact Ingrid Mattson, AALL/LexisNexis Call for Papers Committee Chair, with any questions.
