New State Consumer Privacy Legislation, Same Old Compliance Concerns

The year 2023 has starting off with a bang. In the first two weeks, at least seven states (IN, KY, MS, NY, OK, OR, and TN) have prefiled/introduced comprehensive consumer privacy legislation similar to that enacted by California, Virginia, Colorado, Utah, and Connecticut, with many more expected to follow.
