A bill (HB 469) introduced in Ohio would declare artificial intelligence systems non sentient entities and prohibit them from being granted personhood. The measure would also make it illegal to marry an AI system or to appoint one to a management or staff role at a corporation or other organization, as well as prohibit an AI system from owning real estate and other assets.
