Meta Signs Nuclear Energy Deal

Meta, parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has committed to acquire more than 2,600 megawatts of electricity over the next 20 years from nuclear power plants in Ohio and Pennsylvania operated by energy company Vistra. The deal has drawn bipartisan support, including from Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno (R) and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D), both of whom commented on its employment and other economic benefits. State Lawmakers Targeting Chatbots

Bills aimed at regulating AI chatbots have been prefiled or introduced for the 2026 session in multiple states, including California, Florida, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Washington. New York became the first state to enact chatbot regulations last year. (PLURIBUS NEWS)
