"ERO eFile is an online system developed to electronically file G-28s with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). Attorneys and accredited representatives may register for ERO eFile accounts and may also sponsor law students and law graduates who work under their supervision. ERO eFile cannot be used to file G-28s with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Even though participation is voluntary, this system will streamline the current processes of having to file a G28 via in-person, by email or facsimile or through regular mail.
Currently, electronic G-28s can only be accepted on behalf of detained noncitizens. Facility staff will not have access to ERO eFile at this time; legal representatives should download copies of their submitted G-28 for any in-person or remote legal visit.
Read the Quick Reference Guide (Feb. 2024) for instructions on how to use the ERO eFile platform."
