This position is located in the Office of Policy, Executive Office for Immigration Review, U. S. Department of Justice.

Duties include but are not Limited to the following:
Analyzes complex legal questions and factual immigration issues for use in the review, interpretation, and application of immigration law in order to develop and design specialized training for immigration judges and attorneys.
Evaluates pertinent facts and evidence to interpret and apply statutes and regulations used in training materials. Assists in developing activities designed to enrich understanding of various aspects of immigration law. Evaluates the development of training and procedures in response to specific legal cases or problems which may broaden or restrict agency activities.
Conducts research for improving training programs. Drafts recommendations of new programs, services, and technology to enhance agency/department mission and to support legal training.
Conducts comprehensive legal reviews of draft regulations, policy directives, operational concepts, and operational activities to draft materials to train agency staff.
Uses effective oral and written communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain working relationships with all levels of EOIR personnel, understands and acts upon detailed oral and written instructions, and demonstrates a commitment to personal and organizational success.
