The San Francisco Chronicle awarded Lex Machina the “Top Workplace Award”

This prestigious award is given to companies that exemplify a great workplace, such as coming up with innovative ideas and creating a respected and supportive environment.

Some survey questions consisted of the following: “[whether] new ideas are encouraged at Lex Machina” and “[whether] my job makes me feel like I am part of something meaningful.”

Lex Machina Senior Director of Engineering Gavin Carothers said, “We’re proud to be recognized as a company where our commercial goals and overall mission – bringing Legal Analytics to all areas of the law – work so closely in alignment with what we believe is most beneficial to society.”

Additionally, Lex Machina outperformed other companies in regard to work-life balance, benefits packages, and competitive pay.

Lex Machina Product Manager Matthew Currie said, “The company takes life-work balance pretty seriously.” He added, “Everyone understands that productive, functional teams are made up of people with real lives and Lex Machina makes team well-being a priority.”

Lex Machina also surpassed other companies with regard to employees feeling included in the day-to-day operations and culture.

Lex Machina Practice Area Specialist Autumn Callan said, “The teams and managers at Lex Machina work hard to make each employee feel seen and heard, and foster growth and diversity within the company by celebrating their people in a multitude of fun and expressive ways.”
