Designed to work the way you do, Protégé makes your Lexis+ AI experience more powerful, personal, intuitive, and will elevate your productivity to new heights.

We’ll also be sharing some practical tips designed to improve your proficiency with Lexis+ AI and featuring a number of new features – many of which stem directly from your feedback.

What’s new in Protégé?

Protégé represents the next evolution of our generative AI Assistant in Lexis+ AI. Now seamlessly integrated into your digital workflow, Protégé provides you with a personalised experience that surpasses our previous AI Assistant.

Drafting Mode

With Protégé’s Drafting Mode, you can seamlessly refine your generated drafts with precision. Whether you’re revising specific clauses, refining individual sentences, or making direct edits in the drafting pad, every change is automatically tracked in distinct versions. This approach ensures you can review your changes thoroughly and maintain full control before finalising the document in your preferred drafting environment.

Draft in your Style

Further personalise your Protégé drafting workflow by selecting from two distinct drafting styles; each designed to suit different legal writing preferences and document types. Alternatively, you can let Protégé intelligently choose the best option for you based on your input and the context of your materials.

Transactional Document Drafting

Drafting transactional documents involves creating legal documents that facilitate business transactions and agreements between parties. These documents outline the terms and conditions of a transaction, ensuring that all parties involved have a clear understanding of their rights and obligations. With the new feature in Lexis+ AI, users can draft a variety of transactional documents such as Sales Agreements, Non-disclosure Agreements, Employment Contracts just to name a few. Lexis+ AI leverages first in class LN precedents to generate these outputs.

Dynamic Follow-Up Prompt Suggestions

After each step in your Protégé conversation, you will receive up to three tailored follow-up suggestions designed to help you advance your research more efficiently and effectively. These intelligent prompts aim to keep your workflow focused, ensuring you uncover deeper insights with less effort.

Personalisation Settings

Protégé adapts to your specific needs by aligning with your user preferences, preserving your searches, and delivering real-time, context-aware suggestions. This streamlines your workflow, making legal research both efficient and intuitive, while ensuring you access the most relevant and current information with ease. Simply enable personalisation during the onboarding process or by visiting the Protégé Settings page. Rest assured, personalisation in Protégé is secure, private, and always under your control.

Contextual Drafting Options

As part of the latest updates, Drafting Mode now includes a contextually aware drafting button which appears after selecting elements within your document. Lexis+ AI with Protégé now intelligently detects if you are drafting a transactional document, clause or one of the other supported document types, such as letters or emails and will provide tailored re-drafting options based on the type of content you’re editing.

Once you’re happy with the re-draft, simply click the ‘Replace in the document’ button to insert it directly into your main draft. Any redrafted sections will be marked with a purple pencil and note icon, so you can easily identify and review them.

Experience a more intuitive, efficient drafting process with these new drafting features available now for your own documents.

New PDF upload solution

The New PDF upload service has OCR capability, meaning that users can now upload scanned or image-only PDFs. However, note that handwritten documents are not supported.
