LexisNexis Announces Commercial Availability of Protégé General AI in Lexis+ AI
Protégé General AI is now commercially available in Lexis+ AI following a successful U.S. customer preview.

LexisNexis® Legal & Professional, a global leader in authoritative legal AI workflows, today announced that Protégé™ General AI is now commercially available following the success of the U.S. customer preview. Protégé General AI offers privacy-encrypted access to general-purpose AI models within the Lexis+ AI workflow solution, including Claude Sonnet 4 from Anthropic and GPT-5, GPT-4o, and o3 from OpenAI.
Following the U.S. customer preview, users reported greater workflow efficiencies because of expanded access to the latest models, and many plan to consolidate their AI usage around Protégé. Customers said that Protégé General AI helps them validate the accuracy of citations, gives them the ability to work in a secure environment that prevents model training, and lets them complete more AI-driven work in one place including using Deep Research for high-complexity issues.
Approximately 200 law firms, corporate legal departments, and law schools participated in the Protégé General AI U.S. Customer Preview Program to provide their expertise, insights, and feedback.
