John Wang
The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Hi everyone! I am John, a law student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I love singing (especially songs by Jay Chou!), playing drums and table tennis. At the time when I was writing my application for the programme, I joined an amazing criminal law camp held by Hong Kong Schools Mooting and Mock Trial Association, in which LexisNexis delivered a sharing session in relation to legal research on criminal cases. I bring that up here because it reminds me of how essential legal research is not only for legal practitioners, but also for students who may need to look up some legal cases to learn more about the laws and to do some research during internships. That explains my decision to applying for this programme.
What’s more is that being an ambassador is much more meaningful than being a normal participant. As Richard Feynman suggested, teaching is a practical way to consolidate and distill what I learnt.
I look forward to meeting more law students and assist them in developing their legal research skills. Don’t hesitate to connect with me on campus! Looking forward to meeting you at our LexisNexis events!
