The New Zealand Law Reports is a generalist law report series that covers all major developments in New Zealand case law. It is the only authorised law report series in New Zealand. It includes all decisions from the Supreme Court of New Zealand and select decisions from the Court of Appeal and High Court.

The NZLR maintains a high standard of accuracy. All headnotes for Supreme Court cases are reviewed and approved by the Supreme Court Bench prior to publication. Supreme Court decisions also include the counsels’ arguments, with the NZLR being the only law report series in New Zealand to provide this.

District Court Reports

The District Court Reports provides a broad selection of important civil and criminal law cases from all District Court registries in New Zealand. It also includes selected High Court decisions that are not reported in the New Zealand Law Reports.

New Zealand Unreported Judgments (NZURJ) is New Zealand’s first database of searchable full-text judgments. Practical and easy to use, NZURJ contains over 90,000 judgments.

New Zealand Law Journal

The New Zealand Law Journal (NZLJ) is the only journal in New Zealand that carries in-depth articles on the whole range of legal issues published in a timely and up-to-date manner. NZLJ reports developments in the law and law-related affairs quickly, accurately and in depth. Regular sections by expert editors provide short commentary on the most recent developments in litigation, criminal practice and in transactional matters.

The Laws of New Zealand

This is an encyclopaedic work that has addressed the need to have a New Zealand equivalent to Halsbury's Laws of England as the New Zealand legal system gradually moved away from its traditional British model. It provides a reliable statement of the whole of the law of New Zealand - statutory, regulatory, and judicial. It is a comprehensive source of primary comment required by practitioners and academics alike.
