Sean Fitzpatrick – CEO Global Legal

Sean Fitzpatrick is CEO Global Legal, LexisNexis Legal & Professional. In his role, Sean provides the leadership and strategic direction necessary to drive innovation across the world’s most complex legal markets. He is responsible for orchestrating the long-term growth of the organization, ensuring that the integration of cutting-edge technology and world-class data empowers legal professionals to achieve excellence on a global scale.

Sean’s organization is responsible for delivering legal AI solutions, practical guidance, information resources, insights, and analytics to legal professionals in law firms, corporations, and government entities, as well as law schools around the world.

Since joining LexisNexis in 2005, Sean has served in a number of roles, playing a central role in building the infrastructure legal professionals rely on. He has led AI product development and commercialization through the most consequential period of transformation in the legal tech industry. He has extended LexisNexis’ leadership position through the modernization of legal research with the introduction of Lexis+, launch of the company’s groundbreaking Lexis+ AI flagship solution, and introduction of the Protégé Agentic AI Assistant.

Prior to joining LexisNexis, Sean was a consultant at McKinsey & Co.

Sean has an MBA from the University of Michigan, where he graduated with highest distinction, and a BBA from the University of Notre Dame. Beyond his passion for advancing the rule of law, Sean is an avid West Coast outdoorsman who enjoys exploring the world, hiking, skiing, and spending time with his family.
