Andrew is a partner and Head of Intellectual Property at the firm. Since qualifying in 2008, he has developed a specialism in trade mark, passing off and copyright matters. He has led numerous high-profile cases including two cases in the UK Supreme Court on points of public importance.
Andrew won the UK Soft IP practitioner of the year at the 2023 Managing IP EMEA awards, and in the 2023 edition of the WTR 1000 - the world's leading trademark professionals guide, Andrew was identified as a key individual for enforcement and litigation, the edition stating:
"Andrew is a refreshingly relaxed, charming and experienced practitioner with an encyclopaedic knowledge of trademark law. He can manage and appease even the most difficult of clients, is a ferocious litigator and provides robust commercial advice.”
Andrew was also recognised in the 2024 and 2025 Best Lawyers publication, a peer review system which recognises lawyers that are leading the way in their fields.
He was also listed as a Leading Individual in the Chambers & Partners 2024 guide which stated:" Andrew Lee is an amazing lawyer….Andy is absolutely brilliant legally and great at thinking outside the box. He was also listed in the Chambers & Partners Global 2024 edition which ranks the top global lawyers in over 200 jurisdictions across the world.
The Legal 500 has described Andrew as ‘super-intelligent’, ‘knowledgeable’ and ‘assertive’. The 2023 edition describes him as being " knowledgeable, ingenious and very tactically astute, " and also listed him as one of handful of Next Generation Partners for Intellectual Property in London.
In the World Intellectual Property Review 2024 UK rankings, Andrew was described as ‘outstanding’ for contentious trade mark work, in a group of 9 practitioners for the whole of the UK.
