  • Data Link

This is a very basic question, but I am nonetheless perplexed. When I check the "User Login Status," some of the users listed as logged in have "Active (data link)" by their name and some just have "Active." I do not understand why some users have the link and some do not. I am the Time Matters application administrator

  • Losing Quick Tab Column Headings

We have TM 9.0 Enterprise Edition. We have a problem with Quick Tab column headings reverting to the default field settings. We set the QT headings (both Program and User levels) identifying which form style to use, but sometimes the column headings revert to the default form setting. Also, even where the Quick Tab settings are correct in Time Matters

  • Re: Deos TM integrate with Lotus Note?

Our office has Lotus Notes. It was not easy to get it to work with Time Matters. Our Info Tech folks worked a solution where Time Matters interfaces with the web-based remote e-mail application (referred to as "I-Notes"). I do not understand all of the technical aspects of it, but I understand that they somehow used the MAPI settings of I

  • Problems With Creating a Document Form for a PowerPoint Presentation

We operate TM 9 Enterprise, SR 3B. I have been unsuccessful in creating a document form and linking it to a Power Point presentation. When I do this, the PowerPoint icon does not appear. Rather, all I get is a question mark. I have been able to create document forms linked to MS Word, Excel, and Adobe 9 Professional (PDF docs). I tried with several

  • Re: Need Information on Browser Edition

Thank you, very much. This information is helpful. I will pass it to my IT Department to see if it is something that will be worthwhile pursuing. Where is the web site hosted? Will it be on our server or elsewhere? We are especially sensitive about storing data elsewhere. Also, I assume that we can limit access to the website to those selected individuals

  • Re: Need Information on Browser Edition

Thanks, Seth. That is helpful. We currently use the Citrix server to support one of the satellite offices. It seems that there are a lot of problems with the connection and that's why I thought I should explore some alternatives for our IT department to investigate further. I am hoping to give them a list of pros/cons and issues about the browser

  • Need Information on Browser Edition

I have an office with two satellite locations, one in the United States and one in Europe. We have faced some challenges in getting our remote sites integrated with the main office Time Matters database. I won't go into those issues here, but I am trying to determine whether the World Server/Browser Edition might be an option to explore. Unfortunately

  • Forwarded E-Mail Does Not Include Text

We operate TM Version 9.0, Enterprise. Within the past couple of weeks, I have been experiencing a problem with my TM e-mail. Whenever I try to forward an e-mail from my TM inbox, the text of the e-mail being forwarded does not appear. I have checked all the settings within TM and, as far as I can tell, everything is okay. Is there something I might

  • Palm Synch of TM E-Mail

We operate TM8 Enterprise. We do not have Outlook. Our e-mail program is Lotus Notes. Our Time Matters e-mail links to Lotus Notes via our web-based e-mail access (what we call I-Notes) via the POP3 server. We also have Palm TX handhelds and want to take advantage of downloading our Time Matters e-mail onto the handheld using the Palm synch capability
