HI Marek. This is a known issue with SP1. If you are familiar with the template layout function, you can try and pull up the Default format, give it a new name, such as Default 1 and save it (equivalent to Save As), and then delete and re-add that explanation token. Otherwise, you should call support and find out if they have a workaround. Cindy

Hi Lisa, Can you clarify the matters you are seeing in the selection list? Do they start with A* or is it just the matter number? A* numbers are matters that have been Archived (closed) and should not show up in that list. If you are seeing regular matter numbers but feel they are closed, perhaps you have used the Deactivation function, in which case

Lisa, Check out the Matter manager settings. Is there an additional tab for Electronic Billing (i.e. Ledes or something else)? Typically, if there is a tab in Matter Manager and on that custom tab the template field is filled in, two copies of the invoice will print.

Diago, I like to use the List of Clients report using a different Layout. The List of Clients report offers all fields that you would see in Matter Manager and if you get creative, you can pull some pretty useful information. Go to the Layout for Default Client Address and click Change so you are in the Layout Editor. I would immediately go to the name

Hassan, Creating the bill in PDF would maintain the original billing party. I'm not sure if you are using the Document Manager, but there is a setting on the Billing Tab in System Settings to always generate a PDF and then attach that to the Documents tab in Matter Manager. If you wanted to see a past invoice, just go to the documents tab. I know

Karen, I'm not sure if your question was answered. There are two GL accounts installed by Default. You can sort your list alphabetically and search for Bad Dept Expense or Client Disb W/O Cash. The second account name isn't as intuitive. The important thing is to use the same account unless you need to categorize different types of write-offs

Marcus, This is a frequent occurrence when updating PCLaw at a workstation. It can be annoying and most people just leave it in the list. If you want to hide it, you can do so by locating the PCLaw.cfg file at the workstation. If you accepted a default installation, you can locate it at C:\Program Files|LexisNexis\PCLaw\LocalData. I am providing these

Kris, One of my clients just reported the same issue when upgrading to v10. That Document Legacy Path path is set in your PCLaw System Settings when you have turned on the Document Manager and is most likely blank now. Tech support advised that the workstations are taking instruction for the location of that Legacy Doc Path Folder from a file in the

Tom, Go into those matters using Matter Manager in PCLaw and check out the Default Task Code field at the top left. Is it empty? Make sure that BW for Billable Work is in there and then try posting your time again. Also, you may have confirmed this but do the client and matter numbers match in PCLaw and Amicus? One last thing to confirm is the time

Faisal, It looks like your report is in fact giving you the primary sort by Working Fee Lawyer rather than Task Code or Type of Law. When PCLaw sorts by a Lawyer on a report, it sort that list the Lawyer Category (Lawyers & Rates setup) and then alphabetically by Nickname within that category: Senior Partner Partner Junior Partner Associate I am
