  • Invoice Line Item Numbering - possible?

I'd like to have a layout or profile which will add line-numbers to each of the billing entries as they are printed on an invoice. Can that be done in TM7e Billing Matters Plus? To clarify, when an invoice prints I would like each line item prefaced with a number. Jeff Wyatt Abilene Texas

  • Re: Digital signature expiration in word

In version 7 of Time Matters you would do a search on the offending work station for the file and delete all instances of it (making sure to search hidden folders as well). I suspect the fix would be the same in this case but with a somewhat different file name perhaps or To be safe, you might simply rename the files

  • Re: Adding Multiple Addresses to a bill layout in TM

I dont' see the field Billto:Address 2 in my version. We use a different solution. We made a bill layout where the entire address section is one large box and pulls its data from Msg_1 custom. You then go to Billing Preferences, Choose the Message tab, click custom message box, enter the addresses in the custom message box. Consider using the format

  • Re: Keeping track of 3rd party property (not funds) 1.14 Disciplinary Rules

original records/documents, tangible evidence, heirlooms in estate litigation, wills? I've experimented with having a document template where such items can be "received" as well as returned. Generating this document on the Time Matters document tab for the matter gives me a matter by matter record and if we code those as "Property"

  • Keeping track of 3rd party property (not funds) 1.14 Disciplinary Rules

The Disciplinary rules, in Texas at least, call for attorneys to keep track of property entrusted to them from clients. " Other client property shall be identified as such and appropriately safeguarded. Complete records of such account funds and other property shall be kept by the lawyer and shall be preserved for a period of five years after termination

  • Re: Layout for Statements

I apologize, I did not pick up on the word Statement, I assumed Invoice or Bill was what you were referring to. I don't use built in Statements in Time Matters/Billing Matters but produce ours using Microsoft Access which ties into the TM database. Explain which built in "statement" you are referring to and I can experiment some and see

  • Re: Layout for Statements

The settings to get A/R to show on bills is found under "Bill Profile". It is the third section down on the first tab. There are several boxes you can check and also a drop down box on the right. Experiment with those settings to get the desired results. You get to Bill Profile by going to File/Setup/Billing Options/Bill Profiles Jeff Wyatt

  • Re: SQL Express 2008 & TM7 Enterprise

No and I have forgotten why. We ended up purchasing the full SQL 2005 program and having it installed so that there is no longer any database limit that will effect us. I believe our Consultant first "shrunk" our database with a tool he had which bought me four or five months then we were going to go with 2008 Express but somehow diverted

I know this is an old link but I found a solution for a similar problem I had with Windows 7 and if anyone is searching the archives I thought I would add this info. I had to replace my hard drive on my Windows 7, 64 bit machine. I made an image of the original and installed it on the new hard drive. Everything seemed to work but all of a sudden I was

  • Re: Basic Billing - Billing Preference Field

Here is a smidgeon of information. Hopefully someone will jump in to answer you more completely. In TM7 to connect matters to rate tables you hit Ctrl B to get to Billing Preferences, go to the Rates tab, and in the middle of the form there is a spot to indicate Rate Type and you would select Rate Table and then choose the drop down button to select
