Carol Eversen - VP, MBS Marketing | Carol Eversen is a senior Marketing Executive with a passion for growing businesses via a sharp focus on customer needs, competitive capabilities, and the ultimate value proposition delivered to B2B and B2C customers. Ms. Eversen’s career experiences have encompassed virtually all aspects of marketing from strategy development through communications. Her series of successes demonstrates her ability to create a compelling strategy, lead a team through significant change, and execute with excellence. Most notable are those occasions in which she was accountable for taking a fresh look at target customers, building and delivering new value propositions to meet the needs of key customer segments, and executing target communications to maximize profitable revenue growth.
Ms. Eversen currently is the Vice President of Marketing for the MBS organization within LexisNexis. As such she is accountable for building our brand and driving demand for our Law Firm Marketing Solutions and Business of Law Software Solutions in the United States. Among her responsibilities is development of the lawyers.com brand and growth of lawyers.com traffic to provide high volume, high quality leads for our law firm partners. She is also accountable for all aspects of B2B marketing for MBS.
Ms. Eversen’s small business leadership roles within AT&T, as General Manager of two self-contained businesses within the broader corporate framework (AT&T TeleConference and 1-800-CALLATT), allowed her to showcase the urgency and agility necessary to deliver results in a competitive business in the face of staunch competition. In these roles Ms. Eversen demonstrated the ability to apply sound business strategy, delve into the heart and soul of the customer to create value, and execute with excellence to deliver high growth P&L results. She successfully managed a large team of 1100+ employees as the General Manager of AT&T TeleConference, with her team bestowing upon Ms. Eversen their “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award as recognition of the significant impact she had to business results and to the team’s growth and development.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Ms. Eversen’s experience in large, global firms (AT&T, MasterCard, LexisNexis) has helped her hone the ability to partner across business units and regions to deliver maximum value for large, complex organizations. Through formation of the Global Customer Marketing Steering Committee, Ms. Eversen set the stage for developing the MasterCard Customer Marketing practice globally, creating and leveraging improved Go-to-Market Strategies and Best Practices.
Ms. Eversen has also directed all key aspects of marketing communications. Notable under her leadership in the mass category was the achievement of an EFFIE award for the youth-targeted transaction service 1-800-CALLATT campaign. Ms. Eversen led the team to deliver unconventional break-through messaging in a low interest category. In the world of direct marketing, Ms. Eversen attained significant cost per acquisition improvements while hitting targets as she fine-tuned the AT&T acquisition machine – delivering over 12 million new customers per year with a budget of nearly $1billion. Expertise was developed in major direct channels including mail, telemarketing, and service cross-sell with success in both sales achievement and profitable growth.
