ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on April 6 upheld a federal trial court's rejection of a machine operator's racial discrimination and medical leave violation claims, finding that he failed to show that the disciplinary actions taken against him, including his termination, were linked to his race or that any other similarly situated employee was treated differently (Johnny Chappell v. The Bilco Company, No. 11-1243, 8th Cir.; 2012 U.S. App. LEXIS 6792).
