"The Executive Office for Immigration Review today announced that, following more than six years of service with distinction as Chief Immigration Judge, Brian M. O’Leary has decided to return to the immigration bench as an immigration judge at the Arlington Immigration Court. This position is not new to Judge O’Leary, who served in the same capacity from 2007 to 2009. He also served as a temporary board member on the Board of Immigration Appeals from 2006 to 2007 and as a deputy chief immigration judge in the Office of the Chief Immigration Judge from 2003 to 2006. Before assuming his duties in Arlington, however, Judge O’Leary will serve a detail at the Board of Immigration Appeals.
The agency will soon begin recruiting a new Chief Immigration Judge. In the interim, Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Print Maggard will serve as the Acting Chief Immigration Judge. Judge Maggard was appointed as an ACIJ in 2012. From 2009 to 2011, Judge Maggard served at the San Francisco Immigration Court as an immigration judge. From 2006 to 2009, he served as an assistant chief counsel for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, also in San Francisco. From 1985 to 2006, he served in the U.S. Air Force in various capacities including military judge; regional counsel; deputy regional counsel; deputy chief circuit defense counsel; area defense counsel; chief, military justice; and as a member of the adjunct faculty at the Air Force Judge Advocate’s School. Judge Maggard is a member of the State Bar of California.
These changes take effect on July 26, 2015." - EOIR, July 15, 2015.
