2016 Journalism Fellowship Focused on Children - IJJ (Atlanta, Mar. 30 - Apr. 1)

Institute for Justice & Journalism - "Nowhere is the U.S. demographic shift being felt sooner and more dramatically than in schools.  By 2020, one in three children will be an immigrant or have an immigrant parent.  How schools are responding to the fastest growing group of U.S. children will be the focus of a fellowship training program organized by the Institute for Justice & Journalism.  Eighteen journalists were chosen from a competitive application process to attend the conference, to be held March 30-April 1 at Georgia State University in Atlanta.  As part of their applications, journalists will complete an enterprise story on immigrant children and families for publication or broadcast."

[Your editor will be presenting "Immigration Law 101" to the journalists today.]
