LexisNexis Selected By U.S. Justice Department To Provide E-Discovery Processing, Imaging Software For U.S. Attorneys

Company's innovative LAW PreDiscovery product designated as solution for DOJ litigation professionals

NEW YORK - LexisNexis® (www.lexisnexis.com), a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow solutions, has announced that the Executive Office for United States Attorneys - representing the largest component of the U.S. Department of Justice - has signed a contract designating LexisNexis® LAW PreDiscoveryTM as its new premier software for electronic discovery processing and imaging.

The United States Attorneys plan to use LexisNexis LAW PreDiscovery enterprise-wide, both throughout the 94 judicial districts nationwide and at their central Litigation Technology Service Center based in Columbia, S.C.

LAW PreDiscovery is an innovative software application that allows litigation teams to achieve greater control over the massive amounts of discovery related to a case by combining paper imaging and electronic discovery into one unified process. LAW PreDiscovery also helps ensure cost control by first culling non-responsive and duplicate files, and then enabling further refinement of the document set by searching text and metadata to locate relevant files.

"We're delighted that the Justice Department has selected LexisNexis as its new provider of e-discovery processing and imaging software, and we look forward to working closely with its professionals to ensure their expectations for our product are exceeded," said Matthew Gillis, vice president and managing director of Litigation Software Solutions at LexisNexis.

LAW PreDiscovery not only reduces the amount of files that need to be processed; it also allows users to begin the review process sooner with less files for attorneys to review, providing considerable cost savings in as little as two months.
