Larry Silverman Joins Bracewell & Giuliani's Litigation Group

NEW YORK - Bracewell & Giuliani LLP has announced that Laurence A. "Larry" Silverman, formerly a partner in Covington & Burling LLP, has joined the firm as head of its New York civil litigation practice.

Silverman focuses his practice on representing corporations and investment firms in all types of commercial litigation, including securities class actions, derivative suits and antitrust litigation. He has represented numerous corporate and individual clients before the Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice and other government agencies. His clients are primarily prominent financial institutions and multinational companies. In addition, Silverman maintains an active entertainment law practice.

He has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts in New York and throughout the country, served as lead counsel for international arbitrations and argued numerous appeals before federal circuit courts.

Silverman is a graduate of Columbia University, summa cum laude, and Yale Law School. He also served as a law clerk to Judge Thomas P. Griesa of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
