HOUSTON - Intellectual Property law firm Novak Druce + Quigg LLP has announced the addition of Henry (Hank) A. Petri and Janelle D. Waack, both previously partners with Howrey LLP. The addition of these attorneys, who will both work out of the firm's Houston office, will expand the firm's patent interference, litigation and licensing practices.
These attorneys join Novak Druce during a period of marked and continuing growth for the firm. In 2010, Novak Druce added 20 partners, associates and IP specialists.
Petri is a noted and well regarded national expert on complex intellectual property licensing and Federal Circuit appeals. His practice focuses on patent litigation licensing issues, preparation of summary judgment motions, appellate brief writing and appellate strategy. Petri holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University and a J.D. from the University of Texas.
Waack is a known specialist in patent interference matters before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and also has significant experience with patent litigation and reexamination. Waack holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
