Thompson Hine Names De Palma Vice Chair Of N.Y. Litigation Group

NEW YORK - Thompson Hine LLP partner Richard A. De Palma has been named vice chair of the firm's Business Litigation practice group for the New York office. He succeeds Douglas E. Grover, who held the position for the past eight years.

De Palma will lead the firm's efforts to build the group's presence in the New York market with emphasis on its successful track record and client service standards. He also will provide mentoring and support for the professional development of the associates in the office.

De Palma, who joined the firm in 2009, is a trial lawyer, commercial litigator, arbitration practitioner and business/risk counselor with 20 years' experience practicing law on an international platform. He focuses his practice on the trial and hearing of civil cases and has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in large-exposure cases where coordination of multiple venues is involved and when preliminary relief is sought.

De Palma handles matters around the world for clients in a broad array of industries, including accounting, information technology, banking, financial services, securities, insurance, manufacturing, food production and distribution, heavy civil construction, health care, cosmetics, aviation, offshore oil, natural resources, energy and mining.
