SAN FRANCISCO - A man's claim that a mortgage servicing company backdated trustee documents in an attempt to cover up the fact that they were filed prior to notice of default successfully alleges fraudulent conduct under the California unfair competition law (UCL), a federal judge held April 4 (Nick Makreas v.
